Sneak Preview

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

After much anticipation, Sea Ray has announced its stunning new model; the 475 Sundancer! From its sexy exterior lines, to the large open cockpit, to the sensuous VIP Stateroom, this next generation model is about to set a new standard in the industry.

Compared to the 455 Sundancer the list of extra standard features on the 475 Sundancer is quite extensive:

  • opening Skylights
  • integrated Hardtop and Windshield
  • Electric side windows
  • Dual vent windows
  • larger Generator
  • increased fuel capacity
  • Cockpit Sun pad
  • Dual Helm seat with thigh rise
  • enlarged Wet Bar and Galley sinks
  • increased Transom storage
  • entry door screen
  • yacht wood interior
  • larger Salon sofa
  • private guest Stateroom with twin beds
  • increased storage in the V-berth, to name just a few.

Perhaps the most exciting feature of this new Sundancer is the standard, twin 425-hp CMD engines with Zeus drives! Not only will this boat deliver outstanding top-end performance of 36 knots, the joystick control removes all the stress of operating a boat. The feel of luxury and elegance, plus an abundance of natural lighting radiates from the interior, with optional wood salon flooring, large hull windows, skylights, opening port lights, stainless-steel appliances, Ultraleather seating and high-gloss cherry interior cabinetry. Wooden Shoji doors to both staterooms ensure privacy, as does the split configuration of both the mid-berth and forward stateroom heads.  The large, open cockpit with a new, innovative sun pad design, increased cockpit seating, optional electric grill and drawer-style refrigerator, optional defrosters, and portside companion seat lounger all make the new 475 Sundancer party central.  The 475 Sundancer also carries the latest technology in entertainment, offering unlimited opportunities for fun, with a Salon 26-inch, retractable Flatscreen, LCD TV with DVD player, optional Cockpit and Mid-Stateroom TV’s, Sony stereo system, an MP3 port and iPod docking station and optional inverter, to keep the fun going when the lights go out.  In keeping with the Sea Ray tradition, the 475 Sundancer is a beautiful boat with everything any boater needs for cruising, overnighting, or extended trips, yet has all the latest and greatest technology to ensure safe and confident operation.

Motor Boating magazine has said, “I like the 43/475 Sundancer. It shows the extra attention to detail Sea Ray owners have come to expect from this brand. They won’t be disappointed with the builder’s newest launch. I think the boat is impressive for another reason, too. We’re living in an uncertain economy these days, yet this company has chosen this year to introduce an all-new boat that incorporates revolutionary technology, convenience-enhancing features and top-shelf workmanship. In my mind, those things seem to reflect the builder’s optimism and confidence in the fact that true quality will find its market.”
